The old saying goes respect is earned not given, I don't believe this is true. God wants us to respect all people, even those who don't deserve it. Respect everyone and treat them the way that you want to be treated. If a person disrespects you, do not have an eye for an eye mentality, turn the other cheek. You will get much further in life by respecting others than you will with hatred and disrespect.
Alfie, your posts are absolutely wonderful. I enjoy reading every one of them more than once. Your thoughts pour out of your heart. God has given you a gift of writing for Him.
